Roof Overclad in Basingstoke

Universal Contracting Ltd was appointed to deliver a comprehensive roof over-cladding project to upgrade and extend the lifespan of the existing roofing system.

The works commenced with the installation of scaffolding, safety netting, and air monitoring measures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment throughout the project. Existing rooflights were carefully removed and disposed of before the installation of a new Ashgrid support system and high-performance thermal insulation.

New roof sheeting was then installed, together with a complete package of flashings, including ridge, eaves, apron, parapet wall cover, and cap flashings, providing a durable and weather-resistant finish. As part of the refurbishment, the existing ridge ventilation system was removed, and new galvanised steel guttering and gutter outlets were installed to enhance rainwater management across the roof.

The project was successfully completed on schedule and within budget, delivering a high-quality roofing solution that met the client's requirements and expectations.
